Just finished a two year resto on my 71 Super bee with the N96 Ramcharger hood. No matter what I do, I can't get the scoop to raise. I'm using the original manifold vacuum nipple so that should be good.
Everything else is new: new under hood vacuum actuator, new hose harness, new switch. Original vacuum canister on the inner fender but I tested it before installing back on the car and it held 15 LBS of vacuum.
I have disconnected all the vacuum stuff and manually raised the scoop just to check for binding etc.. and it is free to move with no binding. I have the service manual and connected the vacuum hoses per the drawing. Anybody got any good ideas??

My guess would be pull the switch and vacuum test it. Some of the new repros are not all they're cracked up to be. I find clean original switches, check them for vacuum and use them. They just seem to be built better. Listen for any vacuum leaks under the dash or around the switch when the car is running and when you try using the switch. Check that vacuum port on the engine and make sure it working for sure. They get crud inside them and sometimes block vacuum. Double check the routing again and the colored stripes on your harness. I've goofed that one up more than once. lol

Found the problem!
I took off the hose harness from the back of the switch after hearing a slight air noise. I broke one of the vacuum studs on the back of the switch @#$%!!!!!!!
Just ordered a new plastic housing. I'll be real careful.
I would have used the original one that came out of the car but it was snafued also.
