I tech cars at gateway motorsports park in Madison ill. boss has decided to install diaper rule. we had some major stuff this year, seems more than usual. he is asking me to gather input from any sites that I can. please post your track rules for diapers. he is thinking that as 11.49 requires roll bar, jacket and belts, this may be where he will come in . I know there are other slower/faster ets that would be better served for this rule but I am not making this track rule. as always thanks in advance rick w.

I have been to a few tracks and they all are in at 9.99 or quicker. There was a post here a while back about Dragway 42 having a diaper rule to kick in at 11.49 and that was met with a whole lot of backlash so they have revised it to 9.99.

not sure.... I do run 9's, so I run one. Our high 10/low 11 engine is also outfitted with one. After kicking a rod once I vowed I would not be "that guy" ever again if I can help it.

on our track if you're blown under 10.0 you need a diaper & everything under 9.0 requires a diaper.

Every car should have one. I sent a rod and eight quarts of oil in mine. Tiny drip about a minute after I pulled over.

Instead of making a “rule” give people an incentive, charge them $5 less for the tech card. Mark the card “with diaper” then have the tech people look for it. Racers will figure it out that it’s costing them money to NOT have one and yet everyone gets to race.

I put one on, hard to keep it off the headers in a stock body car. Had to take it off.So 9.99 would be good.

that's one thing.... my car has "developed" to where I can easily install a blanket. Tube K, rack steering, frees up a lot of space and allows easy installation. Looking back I really don't think I could have fit one on my Mirada.

I'll be adding one this winter for my well being. I'd rather not oil my rear tires down at the 1000ft mark

Victory Series Nostalgia Super Stock racers will have to have a diaper at 11.0 and quicker, next year. I was lucky and one a diaper from one of our sponsors DRE. This was a custom unit and it fits like a glove.

I kinda have to add here that there is a lot of complaining everywhere about this new rule and how some ones engine is especially tight and one probably wont fit. Everybodys engine is tight, save for maybe tube chassis cars. It will fit. I did have to put some header wrap on a couple of tubes, but its a good good idea.

It's not enforced at my local track. I am installing one this winter, as I plan on upping the nitrous program.

9.99 or quicker but they won't throw you out if you don't have one. If you are too slow to need it (but have one anyways) and you grenade your motor, one of the tracks has been known to pay your next entry fee as a way to encourage using them.

9.99 here, which is the NHRA standard.

I had one for awhile on my 10 second car just for safety purposes. Need to build another for my next engine.
