Jim's ?
You haven't been around here long have you? Be warned NOW ... IF YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM JIM'S MOPAR PARTS YOU DESERVED THE SCREWING YOU WILL SURELY GET ... Without Astroglide or a kiss. Seriously, for me, is this: What I need, where the company is for shipping, cost, etc, etc. Megaparts, Bill R, Dante's, Roseville, Bouchellon, R/T are pretty good. I look at prices for things, availability, shipping. Also, never hurts to ask for discounts on how much is spent. Just my few cents worth You won't get any of those if you decide to go with Jim's , they will tell you they have it in stock even if they don't and ding your credit card anyway .

I just had a very bad experience with Jim's Auto Parts. I will never buy anything from them again. Are you kidding me, even after all the warnings? I don't want to laugh at your misfortune ... but .... I literally live 2 miles from their store front, not that it's a walk in store mind you, and I haven't done business with Jim in close to 20 yrs.

Year One isn't any better. I ordered the dash wiring harness for my car in the middle of June. At the time they said 1-4 weeks. Called and checked on it in the middle of August (8 weeks later). They said it would be the middle of Sept. and they would send me an email when it would ship. Well, it's the last day of Sept. and still no email. Will be calling them tomorrow and seeing "how much longer"? This is the 2nd time they've done this to me and the last. I'll never order another part from YO. Oh yeah, my card got charged the minute I ordered the part, so they've had my money for 3-1/2 months now. The kicker is, the guy on the phone told me I was "lucky" I ordered when I did, because the wait is even longer now. Why don't I feel "lucky"??? What good does a 30% off discount do you when they can't get you the part you need...

Same thing here , YO pinged my card up front and it was a couple months longer than the 6-8 weeks they quoted I am in need of a replacement engine harness right now for my 67 RT. I had decided on purchasing a harness from YO since i had some other parts I was ordering from them. I called today and talked with a rep to place my order. As soon as I said I needed a harness he started chuckling and said "well thats gonna be a long backorder item." He told me a minimum of 8-12 weeks. He said M&H was changing over their tooling to a more automated process and for the last year and a half they have been behind production because of all the changes. He said that he had some customer orders from late January that just shipped in the past 2 weeks to customer!!!!

We REALLY need to have a "Member recommended vendors" sticky.
A list, not necessarily in any order, of vendors who are great for restoration, NOS, repro, etc.
It would have really helped me when I started restoring my car 2.5 years ago.
Maybe have a tips section on ordering parts and parts to avoid but maybe that would be too long. Maybe a list of Moparts members you would/would not recommend buying from, too. I can start the "would not" list.
Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

What is your preference when buying Mopar restoration parts online?
Who do you like to purchase from????? Dante.i ordered a set of arm rests and didn't like the color, they were right on the money but I decided I wanted something a little darker than stock,he took them back without any hassel.

The people at Herb's are, really, well they don't know much about Mopars. Hate to say it. I spend a lot of money each year for the last 20 years on mopar. I got some attitude from Herb years ago and never went back.
