hey

was wondering if anyone has ever heard of Chrysler allowing a special order on paint color for new cars?

I think way way back, you could.

I asked a dealer today if i could order a new Shaker Challenger with a paint choice from another Chrysler car line. There is a metallic burgundy that was used on non Challengers. They said no way....

I just figured they didn't want to be bothered, but you never know.

If anyone knows of a way I would love to hear how.... :-))

Thanks
Bill

Got me a NEW Project
1970 GTX 440+6, 4 spd, 4.10 Dana and N96 FE5 (top/bottom) and black bucket interior.
Original transmission and Dana - Engine is a service replacement block.

Body has all stamped #s + VIN/TRIM tag and door sticker. Been hunting like all hell to find the Build Sheet.

garage find, only had 41,850 miles on ODO.

The Brampton, Ontario plant is far less flexible regarding options not listed in their build program. In the past, a special order color car was set aside after body assembly until a few more orders came in for the same color. Today's system is far more efficient and that translates to fewer choices for the buyer. For most of the LC Challengers production, the cars had only ONE interior color. down
The best you could do would be custom paint. Unfortunately, that negatively affects resale value.
