What are the opinions on the Hotckis TVS suspension upgrade? Anyone have one? I have been looking at them for a while, I have searched moparts and read what little there is here. This setup is expensive but it seems like it has everything you could possibly need. Anyone have any experience with these? How do they handle? TVS Kit DId you look at PST products? If the Hotchkis stuff is priced a bit high you may be able to get similar performance and save some money.

It is still more money than PST, if you are a forabodies only member you as get 10% off PST products. The link to the $2800 kit in the first post was through Summit.

[quote=MuuMuu101]Does PST even sell hotchkis stuff? [/quot
Most likely they don't, but the original poster seemed to think that Hotchkis products are expensive so I was suggesting that he may take a look at PST suspension who offer similar items if the cost is prohibitive.

I have heard those squeak like crazy! I didn't see any full front end kits. The cost is not that high for all that is included in the TVS...but I'd have to add another $6-800 for a disk brake upgrade in the front. I'm not as worried about my rear drums, they are in decent shape and the front does most of the stopping. Any other options out there you'd recommend?

They sell all the parts you should need, I would say they have more mopar suspension parts than any other supplier. If you call them they could put a complete package together, including torsion bars, rear springs, brakes, shocks, sway bars and even the steering box. Hellwig often has the best prices on larger sway bars any time I have looked and they make a great product if you want to start mix and matching a bit. You could still go with Hotchkis or even Firm Feel parts but I would say if you are watching your dollar that PST is good value and you can get everything at the one supplier. Plus they often have 10% discount .

That is a mean looking R/T. I have sway bars now but the front one is improperly mounted. The rear sway bar is a Helwig if I remember correctly. The leaf springs are pretty tired (I think they are original), and the front suspension is functional, but a little sloppy. I am going to look into the full setup cost from PST. Who is FF...Factory Five or Firm Feel? I'm not familiar with either company. I'm torn between buying the best I can afford and buying what I need to improve the handling and stopping. I am going to install it myself, as much as I can, how difficult are the bracket installs? Minor welding....I have subframe connectors already but I would swap them out if I bought the 'system'. I'm a little hesitant to mix and match parts as I don't really know enough.

Should probably make sure he doesn't have something cheesy like the MP bolt in units, before you make such a declarative statement. As to the PST vs Hotchkis, you are comparing a stock rebuild vs. and all out handling and performance kit. Apples to Oranges. You won't find a better handling system on the market right now than the Hotchkis equipment and they have the data and the cars/customers to prove it. Hotchkis equipped cars are winning driving events around the country, where other manufactures cars are doing a great job in the show field and on the drag strip.

They came with the car so I don't know the brand. I will check tomorrow. Are they welded in?

Hotchkis equipped cars are winning driving events around the country, where other manufactures cars are doing a great job in the show field and on the drag strip. Have a look at the PST catalog, they sell everything that you need to build a good handling car. In fact they have many parts that Hotchkis do not sell. PST has two types of upper arms for each body type, Borgeson steering boxes, torsion bars, spindles, spring hangers, lower leaf springs, fast ratio arms, two types of sway bars for most cars and Wilwood brakes. They also have Bilstein RCD , KYB, Viking shocks. Just because they are not out at the driving events does not mean you can't build a great handling car using their products, I don't see any cars from Firm Feel out at driving events but you would assume that they can sell you all the right products to set up a car.
