What are you doing for suspension and tires to get that truck hooked up? My d100 will hit 86mph in the 1/8th mile but I have absolutely no traction.

The rear is is flipped up on top of the springs. 28.5x9 pheonix slicks. That's it.

It needs better shocks front and rear to be honest. Me and the buddy that helped me put it together are completely shocked at how it hooks so good.

Very impressive. I've always thought a Dakota would make a good drag truck. Any more info on the engine? What's it weigh?

Great pick ups! Anybody else? Anybody start slow with an almost stock pick up? What did you do that helped the most as far as chassis wise? Weight reduction?

This is one of my favorite Stock Eliminator race trucks! Belongs to Jack Foshee in OK..K/SA that can run an easy second under the index(11.65)..w/360 T-Quad engine and the truck is all steel! Think he has a handle on that suspension!? lol

No question Dodge full size(and Dakotas)are the kings when it comes to trucks in NHRA Stock Eliminator drag racing.

I have one(factory silver 80)that I'm getting ready to start building to run in SS.

Here's my old 77 that was mostly street driven but took to the track a few times. 440, 509 cam, 727, 9" with 4.56 gears, 31x18.50 M/T Pros.
I could never hook up in first gear, but still ran consistent 12.50 1/4 mile.

Nice job. I'm just hoping for 8 maybe 9 sec 1/8 at this point. My set up is going to consist of a 69 440. .020 bore with what looks like factory 20 over flat top Pistons. 906 heads with no work done to them just valve springs. XE284H comp cam with a tunnel ram. 4.88 gears and 3000 converter
