I'm trying to figure out the fender tag on a '65 C-body (Monaco). From the info I have, the 426 wedge should be a #80. This one reads #99 which says- 99= standard cid engine 8 cyl ( w/ positive crankvent system). What the is that?
Anyone have the meaning of standard V8? Why wouldn't say 80 if it's the 426. I couldn't get under the car to verify the casting today (long story). Heck, the standard engine was the 361, I believe. thanks! up

Different board...same answer: http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-foru...6-4-speed/page7

The standard engine was the 383-4bbl
