Were there any A bodies that used torque boxes? I know B & E convertibles & 440/hemi cars did but not sure about A bodies.

Yes, lots of them. Now, before we go any further keep in mind that the applications varied, there were a LOT of inconsistencies, "mistakes", etc.

Generally speaking...

Most convertibles, and most HP manual transmission cars (340,383,440, etc.) had them. Some ended up getting only fronts or only rears.

There are documented cases of cars that should have having them have not and cars that shouldn't have them.

What car in particular are you inquiring about?

Yep, both of those would have "typically" had them. The rules of exception still apply.

Saw a 68 383 GTS hartop "survivor" at Monster Mopar last weekend, it was an automatic with rear boxes. I have it's brother in the garage right now, same exact car down to the colors, and it does not have any! tsk

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
