I picked up this concorde last week and am in need of a good wiring diagram. The PO installed an aftermarket stereo and front door speakers that are having problems.

Constant buzz from left front door speaker. Nothing from right front door speaker, right rear, or either tweeter that I can tell.

Stereo is a cheap Pioneer DEH-X2710UI. Door speakers unknown as I haven't pulled panels yet.

Adaptor wiring harness was used so factory plug is still in place.

Found the owners manual on line which indicates a blue / white wire from the stereo is "Connect to the system control terminal of the power amp or auto-antenna relay control terminal (max. 300mA 12VDC)". I'm guessing an amp for this car since the antenna is in the back glass and since I get no sound if I disconnect it. Even the buzz in the left front goes away. I would like to know rather than guessing.

The wire that the blue / white one connects to in the cars mating plug is green with either a dark red or brown stripe. All of the wiring diagrams I can find on-line do not show this particular wire.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. I'll be pulling the door panels next to see if the positive of that left front is grounded.

Update: Thankfully didn't have to pull door panels, just speaker grills. Buzz in in left tweeter too. No grounded wiring. I'm thinking the factory amp is blown. Guess I check into that next.

Nuttin from anybody I see. As an FYI, I have narrowed it to the amp by using jumpers one speaker at a time to connect directly to the after market stereo and all four channels work on it.

I had a 2002 Concorde but never experienced that problem.

Sadly, I deleted the electronic copies of the FSM after I sold the car.

Thanks Feets, I apreciate the thought at least. The 2001 that we used to have never had a problem until it was totaled at 188K. This one currently has only 90K.

If anyone knows of a cross reference listing of what cars have the same amp, it would be great to have. Plan right now is to first try one from a salvage yard.

Dodge Intrepid dot net is where I go for all things LH. And the search function works pretty good for most stuff.

The service manuals were online and most likely still are.

You haven't lived until you experience the "light show" lol and the TCC code is another fun fantasy to experience.

A parts number off the amp and a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee to your local parts counter person should yield where the amps were used. Not hard to run the number backwards on the Chrysler parts system. Even PAIS was good for that back in the day so long ago. (sigh, I'm old!) Maybe Google.

Thanks Ron,
I have to admit that I'm a bit embarrased to admit I didn't even think of looking for the FSM's on-line. Found & downloaded. I'll also check with the parts man. Thanks again!

I really, really appreciate this site and the Mopar folks on it.
