As expected my single disc clutch is giving up behind my 500 cubic low deck stroker and I'm looking into a dual disc set up with some more holding capacity. What would you guys recommend?

I'm looking at the Ram Clutches Force 10.5, McLeod RXT and or the Centerforce DYAD dual disc that is rated at 1300 ft/lbs torque. This car is mostly driven on the street with street tires.

Please let me know what you think.

I called Centerforce when I was in the market for a clutch for my street driven 69 RR that weights 3900lbs plus driver. I built a 499 cube stroker that made 500hp/550tq. They said for that weight they only recommended the dual disc and not the dual friction.

I ended up buying the Mcleod RST twin disc. It wasn't cheap! I had to drive the car normally for 500 miles. Once or twice I felt it slip aafter breakin.

After 3000 miles I pulled it apart because I am redoing my motor. I do see a few hot spots. Mcleod thinks it's normal wear. I am not sure.

The pedal feels amazing, very light and no chatter. If I do it again I would probably try the dual friction.
