How much piston to wall clearance is everybody running in their stroker engines? Thanks Matt

440/512 13-1 N/A forged ICONs 1.485 compression height. Set mine up at .007 based on this chart. Runs good, mostly 1/4 mile shift around 6800 twocents https://www.uempistons.com/installation_instructions/icon_installation.pdf

The clearances on all piston are determined by which type alloy and construction the piston is made with, if it is cast or forge makes a difference and if it is the race alloy on forged pistons or the street alloy will make the difference. As already suggested contact the maker and go from there thumbs I like to make sure on all forged psitons have more than enough piston to wall clearnances so if the motor get over heated the pistons don't scuff on the cylinder walls tsk I have two 400 blocks being machined now, I ask for .0005 more piston to wall clearances than what the maker calls for(.005 now instaed of the .0045 suggested up)on one of those motors, the one that will be a pump gas 511 C.I. 400 stroker motor that will be raced and driven on the street also. A little looser is way better than a tiny bit to tight work IMO
