Anyone have experience with these tachs working with Rev n nator? Do these tachs have modern electronics or they just put in old style boards vs the new modern boards? Thx

Not sure, but they Do sell a dinosaur replacement board for that style of tach, looks like an OE board with old style components on it.

I rebuilt mine with one of their boards. Not very accurate but it works with my MSD dizzy and 6AL. I run a autometer monster yach for accuracy and they both work.

Interesting, since they say points and electronic in their ad for the board, but don't mention msd boxes. My MSD experience back in the day didn't apply to using them with factory tachs, but common aftermarket ones like a Sun Super Tach, which did work with points and OE electronic, did not work with an MSD, even after I used an MSD tach adapter... I know the replacement boards GregRT sells (sold?) for factory tachs is supposed to work with an MSD though, likewise most modern tachs.

I researched and got good reccomendations on them and bought one awhile back.
I discovered the spacing on the numbers and lines on the face were incorrect.
The picture the seller showed had the correct look but the actual tach I received was wrong.

I was told that's the way they are made.
I returned mine and was told to check back later to see if the issues was corrected.

If anyone buys a repop one let us know if the face is correct.

Im considering getting one of these repops. The needle on my currant tach is sticking around 1500rpm. When I tap on the dash, the needle goes back to zero. This occurred just after installing Rev n nator. Before the needle was sticking, the RPM reading was about 100 rpm too high compared to the digital tach on my timing light. So the error was not too bad, but after a couple drives, the needle sticks. It does work when rpm's are higher than 1500.
If there is an ez fix for the sticking needle, I would try that first. Not sure if the Rev n nator is the cause of the needle issue.

Ditto for me.
sent it back next day.
spacing is all messed up from 0 to 1000 RPM and the other numbers are not in the same clock position as factory.

Best bet, get your original one refaced (david patik did mine) and get the inside redone so it will work with electronic ignition.

Got me a NEW Project
1970 GTX 440+6, 4 spd, 4.10 Dana and N96 FE5 (top/bottom) and black bucket interior.
Original transmission and Dana - Engine is a service replacement block.

Body has all stamped #s + VIN/TRIM tag and door sticker. Been hunting like all hell to find the Build Sheet.

garage find, only had 41,850 miles on ODO.

How long ago did you get yours when you returned it?

For those that want to know, I contacted Dave at RosevilleMoparts and he confirmed that the face is now correct w/o the 500 rpm marking. It looks just like the photo. So it looks like OER has made the change, just don't know when or if everyone selling them has the updated face.
