Just a couple quick questions...
I thought I was going to sell my '67 Belvedere, but my wife kinda wants me to keep it, so for now... I am. I am also picking up a 1980 SWB D100 from a friend. Body is a little rough, but it has a New Yorker 440 that was built by a local shop with a Challenger A833 behind it. Truck comes with the original 727 from the New Yorker as well.
I originally wanted this truck to play with and flip, but now I'm thinking if I keep the Belvedere I want to finally do the 4-spd conversion.
I know I'll need to get all the other parts necessary to convert, but would this trans work for my '67? I think I've found pedals and linkage from a '67 GTX that was converted to auto. He might even have the hump he cut out still.
I'm still very much on the fence about keeping the car, even though the wife has said she wants to keep it, but a 4-spd in it would probably convince me to hang on to it. I just find autos boring after a while.

Yes the E body trans will work in your car, you will just use the same crossmember as you would for the auto.

As Wayne said it will work. I converted my '67 to 4 speed. It seems like there is alot involved before you start, but there really isn't too much to it, and Brewers has everything you need.
If you decide to do it and you have any questions send me a PM. A factory service manual helps also.
I'm not sure if your truck bellhousing will work though.
Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat Hear my motor screamin while I'm tearin up the street

Thanks guys. I have a FSM and yes I know I'll need to find a bell housing, since I would be keeping the small block in my car.
I guess I need to find out for sure what parts I can get from the GTX, and what I'll need to find/buy.

The 1964 to 1969 Dodge and Plymouth B bodys have the shifter pad in the same place, not so 1970 and up I belive My message is you may end up with a problem finding a shifter that will work for ou the way you expect it to I'm doing similar as you, using a later model 833 O.D. out of a van or pick up with that OEM shifter in a 1966 Dodge Coronet Deluxe I need to change the K member fronm a slant six to a V8 and get the tranny crossmember , clutch linkage, shifter and so on figure out. Hopefully it will be running this year

Okay, so the E-body shifter (I'm assuming that's what is being used in the truck, and not something fabbed up) will work, and I should be able to keep my auto cross member.
Thanks... I'm actually starting to get excited about this car again. This is good!

Hopefully it will be running this year Cab , 66-70 B body shifter mount all in the same place , the difference on a 70 B/E trans is the location of the trans mount , it's moved to the same location as the auto trans mount so the factory didn't need to make 2 trans mounting crossmembers any more. I thought the shifter was in a different location, IE closer to the trans crossmember on the earlier cars

I'd have to look at the 2 tailhousings to remember which way it moved. A friend has a late build 69 RR that has both mount locations on the tail housing of his original 833 , but not the E body shifter mount at the rear , only the correct 69 location was machined and tapped.

No, a truck 833 uses the forward B body mount point with a dog bone type adapter that moves the shifter up and back and has it's own special linkage. If the trans you have has it going off the rear mount then it's something that was fabbed up. The 833OD with the long tailhousing that had the rear E body shift mount still cast on it did not have the rear bolt holes drilled and tapped.
