I debated a long time but when I did the cost comparison of the FI tech vs buying a new HP type 4150 and a decent pump the cost premium really wasn't all that much. I have to be honest, having a well-tuned EFI would encourage me to drive the car(s) more often. This one is a driver and I'm thinking of putting one (assuming this goes well-which it should) on my 427" SBF Cobra and even the 517" Stroker in the Charger.

The wife said she wanted a new SUV In all seriousness, Stephen Daurity is THE MAN, and they're GREAT PEOPLE to deal with. He made fitting these tires fit in the wheelwells of a near 50 yr old A body look easy. I got to say the 8.8 Explorer narrowing trick is super slick. My very favorite part of being part of the MoPar Family is getting to meet and making friends with so many great people like the Dauritys. BTW, I hunted and hunted for my old 340 Rear springs, I had a PERFECT SET of them for years but I reckon they got thrown out :-( Anybody knows of a decent set let me know, thanks!

I have some 340 Formula S springs I don't use anymore. They have some use on them though, I would part with them cheap.

Flamin' awesome build! Kudos for having the vision and sticking to it.
I like a car with a little rake.
That yellowish paint is so sick, both in a bad way and a good way. I cannot decide whether I love it or hate it.
One thing for sure, it's a very cool ride and will be fun to drive. I bet you'll get compliments every time you hit the street. And, that bigblock in smallblock clothing under the hood will be a hoot.

Thanks, Buddy!
Actually, I think the color is pretty cool and somehow seems to suit just what the car is. I want to tailgate with it and just have fun! And I know it's going to run, drive, handle and STOP light years better than most people would ever expect it to,
Just ordered some F/R Hellwig swaybars for it and and with good shocks and the serious rubber at all 4 corners it should handle quite well for what it is. The 8.8 out of the explorer has 3.5" tubes so it will help balance the F/R distribution even more.
Stephen Daurity is awesome, so happy to have him working on it. I'm in no rush so he works on it when he on between his 'bread and butter' jobs...and it's really cool how much in synch we are with how it's been morphing and progressing.
So it's all going to plan and I think it will be so quirky-cool and 'one-off' that it has a lot lot of appeal from all kinds of people (I recently discovered there are a lot of Enthusiastic Wagon fans, a cool sub-culture I now have a membership in.
I hope people will really get a kick out of it and enjoy it too.

Thanks Hollis
I still can't believe the 285 width Tires fit in the wheel wells with only the 3/4" offset springs. Well that and the 3" narrowed 8.8 Explorer rear. It's cool, the pumpkin is offset from the factory 3" so you only need to cut the tube on one side to center it and then you just use another of the shorter side axles, how slick is that?
Now my question is....how in the heck do you you get any decent size exhaust under one of these early A bodies!!
