I would like to purchase an ECS carpet for my car before there no longer available for any unforeseen reason, what would be the best way to store n preserve it for future use.

In a sealed bag in a dry place - like an attic. You want to avoid ANY moisture - which will cause mold. Hopefully there are no mice, squirrels or coons in the attic !!!

If you can, find a box that you can store it flat, that would be the best way. and as other have stated....dry dry dry place!

I've understood that the molded carpets can loose some of their shape if left too long between purchase and install.

I had my carpet storaged about 2 years until I installed it 3 weeks ago.
It's ACC rolled carpet and still fits great.

I left my ECS carpet in it's original box for over two years with no problems.

I did the same as Morty426...just under two years in the box layed flat in the basement with no issues on the install.

BTW: I LOVE the Blue interior on that GTX!!!!!!

Well I can tell you that's BS. I bought my ACC carpets in '83 or '84 and they fit fine when I took them out of the box last year.

Good to hear.
I have one in a box from the late 90's.
