If you can, find a box that you can store it flat, that would be the best way. and as other have stated....dry dry dry place!

I've understood that the molded carpets can loose some of their shape if left too long between purchase and install. Well I can tell you that's BS. I bought my ACC carpets in '83 or '84 and they fit fine when I took them out of the box last year.
