What type of plastic is a radiator shroud made of in the 1970 e bodies?

Likely Polypropylene.

It's definitely in the Poly family, HDPE, High Density Polyethylene, is most likely.

Funny, that was what I was thinking (HDPE) when I looked it up online, but according to the source I found, they suggested PP. would expect Scott should know for sure.

That repair link is accurate, glues and epoxies don't hold a good bond to PE, it is like gluing something to wax. You need to plastic weld it with heat and a similar material welding rod.

Thanks guys. I have the plastic welder from the body shop at work. But needed to know what rod to use.
