Hi,

I don't drive it much, it only has 20k and I'm the original owner. I just took it out to get gas and my oil light came on. I got home and saw spots up my driveway thinking it was water from the bed. I added some oil and started it up. Oil was shooting out the right side of the motor. I have no idea what happened.

Any ideas?

Jim

Not much info to go from, but it could be a loose oil filter and/or bad oil filter gasket.

I'll get a better look tomorrow, we had a storm go through. But the filter was tight, did not appear to be coming out from the filter.

I know first hand if the old filter gasket sticks to the adapter it will leak.

The oil has not been changed in quite some time, this just happened today.

Check oil pressure sending switch.

I believe I found the culprit. The Mopar Oil Filter was rusty around the seal on the outside. It was changed 9 months ago, not sure why it was rusty. Makes me weary of Mopar Filters
