I have a 1968 Dodge Dart (6 cylinder K member)

I am using Trans-Dapt motor mounts.

I have standard Hooker Headers (NOT FENDERWELL STYLE)

I have a 440 engine with a 727.

What is the best way to install the headers and 440?

Attach the headers to the 440 first then install the 440?
Put the 440 in then try and install the headers?

Thanks!

I suspect the answer is: not at all unless something has changed dramaticly since the last time i looked in a Hooker catalog.

If it were my car, here is what I would try. I would unbolt those Transdapt mounts, and with an engine hoist, lift the engine with an engine hoist, high enough to bolt the headers in place. Once in, let the engine down, look at the situation and go from there. Custom mounts or an engine plate may be in order.

Along with all the other suggestions, pull the steering column out. Gives just a little more wiggle room.
