Hey guys
I am swapping to an in-tank electric fuel pump on my '69 Super Bee. I have removed the mechanical pump, but the access plug to pull the push rod is stuck (allen fitting is stripped).
I have literally 100 other things that I need to work on instead of this, so can I just leave the pump pushrod in there without a fuel pump to keep it down? I fear that engine vibration will somehow cause it to rise up and maybe do some damage to the cam... but maybe that is unlikely?
Thanks! Paul

Leave the pushrod in place, won't hurt a thing.

Leave it , it's not going to jump up ... unless you put the car on it's ROOF ... and even if it did it's not going to hurt anything , if it were going to it would hurt stuff even worse if it were riding on the lobe.
running up my post count some more .
