I have about 1/3 of a gallon of this same stuff too. Mine is called "Sun Gleam Silver" on the can. Ditzler. I found some old stuff at an auto parts store that sold auto paints back in the mid-80's. I've used it before & it did not adhere well to plastic, plus it was a really light shade of silver. I tinted it with some black lacquer to get it closer to the shade I was looking for. Still, I want to try this canned Krylon stuff - IF I can find it!

Krylon 1403 is listed as a indoor paint. Will it hold up on a grille etc?

I bought a case of the Krylon fusion 2521 last year off of amazon. It is as close as I could find to the original paint on my cuda grill's. The texture also is very close. At the time I couldn't find it in stores and could only buy a case online. Now I see it for less than $5 on Amazon. I figured with all my grills and rally wheels, may as well have it around for touch ups and stone chips.

I used Krylon fusion as well. Bonds very well to plastic (as advertised).

Here are some housings I did a year ago mocked up in my charger. My bumper and rear valence are bent up so the taillights look jacked up... but you can see the how the color turned out. I think I used graphite, cant remember, but if I did it again I'd probably go darker, just my preference.

The only thing that makes me nervous about textured paints is the possibility that texture will 'grab' tiny bits of the whatever you use to wash the car, like microfiber towels and regular hand towels

True, but that's what the stuff was from the factory - so was the Organisol black. When washing items painted with this, you might be better off using a soft bristle brush?? This stuff looks really good in the photos.

Well, my local ACE Hardware tried to order this stuff in for me, but they called me today & said Krylon DISCONTINUED the paint! I swear - everything like this with me turns into a quest!
