www.photobucket.com Here is my 40K 1972 Roadrunner/440. My experience is I get a lot more attention than other Muscle cars I have owned. Nobody seems to remember these cars.
I love it, anymore pics of it? What is the story about it?
It is a repainted car that came out of the North Carolina area. I bought it last spring it had the original interior, the engine has never been out and except to repaint it red it was pretty original. The car has had I think about two owners when I got it. One of the guys had put a white vinyl top on it, an Imperial style grain. The car is coded for a black. I replaced the top, the dash pad the door panels and had Mr G's do the dash for me. The car is really a nice driving car. It is extremely quick for a low compression engine. I will do some more detail work on it this winter but it is a great car. It has A/C, 3.55, Am/Fm, automatic and of course the white bench seat. I will try to get some more photos in the next few days. I am just learning the whole digital photo thing.

Which one to consider......72 SSP, original hemi orange with white interior, body work done and new paint, needing an interior, originally 318 now early 80s 360, 72 RR grill included.....or......72 RR 340 car needing restored but has # 340, the body is supposedly solid but does have some dents. The prices are similar.

I'd take the SSP. But, then again, I can't do bodywork. Depends on what you can/rather do, I guess. The Runner would be worth more when restored, if that's a factor at all.

Jimmy, Is definetly the Charger Guru. I talked to him about mine once. Had some good questions to ask about it. And wanted pictures of the date coding under the trunk mat. If my car had paint or a sticker for the black behind the grill. I have e-mail or Ph# around here somewhere. He would be a great wealth of knowledge to us Charger owners. Hopefully he will be game to be involved even if from the outside. matt s
