This weekend I went to the Mega Mopar show with my Cousin. He was running his Demon for the first time. Since I was there I figured I would see what my Cummins would run just taking it easy since I can't afford any down time with the truck right now.
I have an Edge Juice and when I replaced injectors I installed bigger injectors. With a very easy launch I ran a 14.50 ET. I'm sure if I would run it all out and adjust the tuning this 7200 lb truck would run 13.99 or better. For a truck diesel is the only way to go.

Explain "edge juice" and what type of injectors? Anything else done? My 06 needs injectors now I think, I can feel misfire at times, 92,000 miles

Sounds like a very nice truck you have. but if you think it runs good now, you ought to try a EFI tune on it. When i get the money saved up i am getting it for my 2011.

When you get injectors get them bigger rather than smaller. If you go with a tuner like EFI live you can tune them back.

Yep I am going to switch to EFI Live after I get my turbo rebuilt with a bigger wheel.
I drove a truck with the same turbo I am getting and it drove like stock and was a rocket. It dyno'd at 716 hp. With EFI live it drove like a stock truck. It had the 5 level switch. I drove it on the middle tune. It would blow the tires off at 30 mph.
The owner gave me a ride 4 wheel drive boosted launch. The truck was spinning all 4 and wondering all over the road. He recently installed a hi flow cp3 in the truck and gained another 50 hp. Even at 716 hp his Mega cab was running 12.30's. He should be in the 11's now.

Wow sounds like a truck i would like to take a ride in. My 2011 ram 6.7 cummins should be putting close to 500HP to the tires. would love to feel what 700 would feel like.lol My newest Diesel power magazine has a 2006 dodge with a built up 5.9 cummins that is putting out 1150HP and over 2000 torque to the tire and it says he street drives it every wear.I bet that would be one fun ride.lol. There is a lot of stuff i want to do to my truck but i don't have the money right now. These damn trucks are just addictive as our race cars.lol best of luck to you on yours. Mopar65

The truck I drove was Larson Millers at Firepunk Diesel. That is where I got my transmission built. His brothers truck puts out like 1400 hp. He won the Diesel Power Challenge this year and had a picture on their FB Page of the winning truck towing another truck that broke down home from the event.
When you get to 500 hp your truck should be 13 second capable. That is faster than many factory muscle cars. Lavon at Firepunk told me they are getting 550 hp out of stock 06 trucks with just EFI live tunning. I'm sure if EFI is available for your truck it should be about the same. Don't waste money on un necessary mods. A lot of guys do. Lavon said he put a new intercooler on a 1000 hp truck and it made 12 hp more on the dyno. That mod would be a total waste of money on a lessor hp truck. Good Luck,

How much money do you have into it (including the purchase price of the truck)?

I bought the truck new in 2006. It has 140,000 miles on it now.
I paid $37,000. I had to replace injectors once $2400. I added a Edge Juice with Attitude tuner box at 80,000 miles. That cost $950. I also added an Airdog 165 lift pump at $650. I had the transmission rebuilt at 130,000 miles. I over built it to be safe that cost $8000. The transmission is rated at over 1000 hp.
That is about it except normal maintenance like brakes ect.

That is a great time for such a heavy vehicle! I have a 03 5.9 HO 6spd with a smarty jr tuner and it runs well.
