Since Max Wedge engines were assembled on the Marine Engine line they used a different/unique stamping die set that had a bigger font as compared to regular production line font. Also, all Max Wedges, all years, were painted Race Hemi Orange, any sign of original turquoise paint and it's probably not a MW. 4925776-MaxWedgeIDPad.jpg (122 downloads)

ScottSmith_Harms Mr Wizzard Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 42,714 Spokane Washington	Keep in mind that blocks were often cast months or even years before being assembled. Most 1962 casting date blocks would have been assembled for the 1963 production year and would have been 426's rather than 413's
