How do you route the vent line from your fuel cell and why?
1) Loop in top of line
2) Loop in bottom of line
3) Loop on the side of the tank
4) No loop

Vent Line
single choice

First, does the tank in question have a "rollover vent valve"?

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

As soon as I get some more line in stock here..I'll
do what I normally do on the vent.. it takes more line
but it also has a roll over feature.. I I come up from
the tank then go either left or right but go as far as
I can then do a 180* and go all the way across the car
then back to some place thats out of the way and drop
the line down below the bottom of the tank... I do this
even if it has a roll over valve
EDIT
The reason I do it this way is that it always has
a high loop above the tank even in any condition..
that high loop keeps fuel from draining

I will ask him.
Even if he doesn't, since the line exits below the floor of the tank, if the car is inverted, the end of the hose will be above the tank and I don't think that could flow. But if the car comes to rest on its left side, the hose end will be below the tank...

JCC, how do you do it with and without the rollover valve?

I have always seen it with the loop on the bottom. I have the Valiant set up like that.
My Avenger is loop on the side because I run the vent to a scoop for pressure going down the track.

Rollover valve and no loop. I also stuck a small fuel filter at the end of my hose outside just to keep any dust or dirt from going up into the hose. I'm probably over thinking this but if for any reason liquid would gather in the loop then it would be more like a sink trap and there would be no venting.

This is true. I just have a roll over with the hose arched & going through the trunk floor.

No loop. Just a upside down "J" from cell to front of cell in floor using aluminum tubing.

I did 2 loops above the cell and then to a rubber hose with a fuel filter on the end.

I will have to take a picture if interested.

Works great.

Similar to the bottom picture, only tighter to the tank and to the right side. the bottom of the vent hangs down below the tank. That way the only way fuel can run out the vent is if the car is turned over and laying on the right side.
