Did tune up on 71 dart w/6. Car wasn't running when I got it. Have power going to coil, but car won't start. Any suggestions?

Got fire to the plugs? Power to the coil with ignition in start position or in run or both?

No fire to plug. Fire in start and run to coil.

Did you pull the distributor out to put points in it? It is real easy to break the gear off.

Take off your distributer cap and see if the rotor turns when you crank the starter.

The distributer gears are plastic and break from old age. Napa carries new ones.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Pulled distributor found wide that goes to coil was partially on and was grounding itself. Fixed it, car cranked. Now just need to fine tune. Thanks again everyone. Mopar people are the best!
