How is the rear 5 x 7 speaker mounted from the factory on a 1972 B body? Screws? Studs? Thanks

On my 73 I think I used OE studs that had a flat type head. They went in before the shelf panel was installed. It has been so long ago I don`t remember for sure though. My shelf trim panel had slotted openings for the defroster and the speaker. The cars that had a metal grille with studs were dealer installed kits.
