Have decieded on running the 1500 frame and drivetrain including efi and od. Made some progress lately brought the cab back to my house so i can work on it more than 1 day every other week.

Started making some patch panels.

Now the roof at the rail has some rot. trying to decide if i want to just shave the rail or not.

Just got done scrapping off grime and undercoating on one of the wheelwells.

Well. We are goin back to useing the stock frame and swapping in a 318/727. Though I really need to get a 4wd trans or atleast the taishaft and its housing. And a tcase. But finally got back to working on it. got the driverside of the roof done. Took me most of today to get it where its at. Just needs some filler and it will be fine.

well once again the frame and drive-train was changed. This got pushed to the back burner while i worked on a 71 ghia for my wife. Was cruising around on Craigslist and saw this and had to get it for the jeep. Its a 71 ford p-350 that has had a Mercedes om314 diesel and an allison transmission for it. Got it about a week ago. The guy i got it from had started to scrap the body and cut the roof off and made a cut down one side of the passenger side. Went there and looked at it, it started right up and we drove it up on the tow dolly (brakes did not work). This is a shot of it when we got it.

and this is where i'm at now. got most things i need to get off, off. The steel floor is off (it was dark when I got done) I'm planning on using the bed like it is (besides some minor mods) and its all aluminum.

I suppose the rims are 16 or 16.5s?

I towed with my 85 w150 318 4spd, she had header's, 4bbl intake, duel exhaust but she was tired so I think the tiredness canceled out the aftermarket part's haha but she would haul damn near any thing 323 gear's she would do 65-70 down the highway with a car trailer on it an a full size 85 suburban.. a buddy has a 92 dodge 3/4 ton 360 auto but it has hauled his 5 wheel + a trailer behind that Pluss the box full of stuff an cab full, trailer full, camper plum full lol to Portland an back 2-3 time's an has yet to give him ANY problem's.. maybe im crazy but I like a manuel to tow with, you can chose your gear's ya want but like every 1 say's look for a cumin's you maybe a 91-93 5spd w250 318-360

With that Mercedes Deisel I think you're going to be under powered, they only had about 85 HP, good for shuffling around the back roads or on the farm but might be scary towing down the Interstate with, I would drop a 318/360 in place of it (the box looks good)

Yeah it got about 80hp. Its not fast but will get the job done. I guess i need to change the title now. If i need to tow something heavy i have access to my neither in laws f350 4x4 powerstroke. I was looking into pouring a turbo on this motor but i haven't looked it up enough to find out what it is capable of handling in stock form
