Driver side door sags. Hinge is worn. Is it better to replace the hinges or is using the hinge bushing kit a good alternative?

The hinge pin/bushing kit did well on mine. I used a kit from Y1 but I understand most or all parts are also available at the AP storehelp section .

Before starting on mine, I laid on a heavy coat of aircraft stripper and then pressure washed them to remove all paint, grease ect. Light sand/prime and pant after putting the pins/bushings in and ready to go.

I need to do this as well. In my case, the door has hung open for about 1 year though. I think the weight of the door may have deformed the hinges.

Was mentioned on here a really long time ago, but a grease zerk can be added as well. Would anyone happen to have a pic of how/where to put it?

if you can leave your car door open wile you repair the hinges buy the pins and bushings.
if there might be problems with leaving your door open during the repair down time buy rebuilt hinges.
best of both worlds buy hinge cores, rebuild, replace then sell your old hinges when done.

perception is 90% of reality

YearOne has rebuilt door hinge sets on clearance, no core. With 30% off going on now, you can get a set for less than $90. They were like $300 with the core charge. You can keep your set for future use.

That does sound like a pretty good deal.
Wonder who does the rebuild?
Anyone actually have a set that can attest to quality?

I added them to my car, top hinge was easy, just drill and tap a hole, the bottom hinge required a steel sleeve between the top and bottom bushing, drilled the hole in the sleeve, here's a couple pics.
