has anyone installed one of these systems? any additional tips not in the instruction manual? i'll be using the kit with my serpentine belt setup so opted to not use the v belt compressor that comes with the kit. also I'm not to keen on the hose and tube routing that they supply with the kit so will most likely be changing that as well.

hopefully I ordered the right kit. I know vintage air has a kit too, but I went with the classic auto air, because I'm going to mount the vents in the dash. and before everyone freaks out, its a very worn dash pad with lots of cracks that I have a dash pad cover over already.

if you weren't using the compressor, why order the whole kit?
you could have ordered the pieces instead and saved a few bucks.

I did use their hot rod kit since no one made something for a 65 b-body at the time.
I also used the fully electronic box instead of the vacuum one.
had custom hoses made at a local shop using the parts supplied by classic. they basically gave me a bunch of ends and a length of hose.
was like 50 bucks from the shop to cut them and crimp. I drove the car there with the rest of the system installed and they measured and cut while I waited.

I used a Classic system in a 69 RR. The kits were made then (about 8 years ago) for cars that didn't have factory air. Mine did have factory air and I was able to adapt their hoses to the factory dash vents. Their instruction sheet for the wiring gave me some problems, factory air wiring was different and theirs is geared for non-air cars. Everything else went great, their system and tech support was awesome.
