school me on head gaskets for a boosted small block.. i know our head bolt design is about identical to sbf with 10 studs and those guys are using the felpro mls or the cometic mls with no issues.. what do you guys think? i know there isnt much of us out there..

Myself.. I would go with Cometics on a boosted set up

that is what im leaning towards. was also interested in cometic vs copper gasket or o-ringing it.. i just wasnt sure.

i use cometics and have used them for years with no issue

what kind of boost numbers have you pushed? also what kind of power was it making?

im looking to run 25+ and make 1200whp give or take

Good luck with that! Although boosted engines seem to tolerate more horsepower than N/A ones.

Be sure to finish the head and deck to whatever Cometic wants.

Cometics here 11.5:1 and 10 lbs 650ishwhp.


I'd almost look into getting your block and heads o ringed for that kinda power.

Love the car btw.

up A little pricey, but that's what I run. 21 PSI through the lights and no problems. Also run studs with 105 lbs. torque.

Cosmetics for me. Mine at 9:1 non intercooled factory head, was run at 20psi. Just a touch of visual issues, but never leaked.

I'm sure with a better head/tuneup they'd hold even more.
