Going to put power discs on my wife's 63 dart convertable. Planning to order this kit... https://www.performanceonline.com/Mopar-...and-Dodge-Cars/ along with the new lower ball joints and tubular upper control arms.

Then we will add 15" wheels/tires to it. Probably Coys C-5 polished wheels.

Anyone used this kit? Any input?

Need to find a big bolt rear end to put under it next.

Kit looks very complete...but I didn't see the brake pads themselves listed...Not sure what hook-up from the brake pedal you currently have to this will be... work
As far as looking for a big bolt rear...if an 8 3/4 is what you have in mind you are probably going to have to have one narrowed to use typical wheels... twocents

Pads are included. With a price of $1115 shipped, including the tubular upper control arms and new lower ball joints, I'd say not bad for a "all in one box" kit.

WhT the heck. I'll order it up and give it a shot.

Being a slant 6 car that my wife will be driving, an 8-3/4" would be overkill for sure. 8-1/4 is overkill, but, I'll take what I can find.

That car is so narrow...most 4 1/2" bolt pattern stuff will be too wide. I'd call Cass (Dr Diff) and see if there's anything he can do as far as a custom axle that would get you to 4 1/2" bolt pattern... shruggy
FWIW I just did a shorter 8 3/4" rear for the 69 Dart. I had a local shop cut down a C body housing to 3/4" shorter than A body specs on each side. Ordered a set of the 4 1/2" A body conversion axles from Dr. Diff. They are splined deeper than needed so I just cut them off about 3/4" on each one. You will still need to mock up perches...set pinion angle and weld them in. I was all in for about $550.00. You should be able to p/u a loaded housing with everything else you need for about $100-$150. Only thing left to do then will be shorten the drive shaft. There is no cheap way...There's guys out there using two jeep rears and cutting one side down and then using the short axle from the second rear... whistling

rear end is the same width as all A bodies, till the end. The front end got wider in 67 though.

The ad doesn't say whether or not the spindles are cast, or forged. I wouldn't use cast. And a very big thing, your rear end, unless it has been changed is a 4" bolt pattern, what are you gonna do about that? The wheel register in the wheels are different between 4", and 4 1/2 ". So you can't rotate the wheels. You don't have to change the upper arms unless you just want to, Dr. Diff, and also the Ram Man have spacers so you can use your old arm. That doesn't look like a Mopar booster also, so any time you might need a part, it will be hard to just go to the parts store, and get one. I'd talk to the Ram Man about his factory kits that he has.

As I mentioned earlier, I will be replacing the rear end with an a body 8-1/4. Just found one from a 74 duster. So that's no issue.

There is one BIG issue though. While talking to the fella, I asked about replacement calipers, rotors, etc.... He said "most of the parts are 71 Camaro". And THAT was the end of the conversation. No way, no how am I putting Shivvey parts on my Mopar.

Chevy parts? Chevy didn't make calipers, rotors etc. probably bendix, or K/H, Wagner .

See what DoctorDiff has for those cars. I'm not 100% on how things work under the early A-body cars. The late model brakes should bolt on but I think you need to change the backspacing on the wheels to keep everything under the fender lips.

IMOP, I don't like that booster. If it's a MOPAR, stay with MOPAR. If it's a Chevy or Ford, same thing. Just my 2cents

So.... After further research,meaning, etc... I just ordered a conversion kit from Ram Man, including power booster etc... Wife will be stopping straight and true in no time and with Mopar parts.

I have the BBP front disc setup from my 65 dart that you could have for 3 bills including the alum dual bowl MC & you're only 92 miles from me. it came outa here when it got hit & I'm tired of tripping over it. it is manual but you could add a booster. You'll have trouble with 15's unless you go with some low profile tires. I'd measure the current dia of the 13" & go from there. Me I'd go with a BBP 7&1/4, they're around & you even see a sure grip rear available on occaision
