I have my EZ heads set up for a 2.00 inch installed height which seems to be the max limit. I'm using + retainers and + locks to get to 2.00 inches of installed height. This gives me enough room to run .880 lift on the valve but that appears to be just about the max.

Does anyone know if any of the Indy heads come out of the box with more than 2.0 inches of installed height? I'm just wondering if the bigger heads have longer valves and a different rocker arm location. I don't see anything about it on the website but Indy hasn't ever been super generous with tech info on their website.

The 600 -13X come with 2.100 but they are only good for a 4.840 bore space. Pretty sure our 572 - 13s came with 2.000 installed height so you could go higher with + locks, IIRC they are a longer valve than the -1 heads.

572 Heads use a 5.5 inch valve and the 613 uses a 5.9 inch valve to give them added installed height. You are wanting to put an .880 plus lift cam on some EZ heads? ah ok.

Okay that makes sense. The EZ head uses a BB Chevy +100 valve so the 572 must be using a BB Chevy +250 valve which would be 5.494 long.

I haven't had a 572 head in my hands but they must have moved the rocker stand location to work with the taller valves. I doubt there is an easy way to do that trick with my EZ heads.

Yes, my EZ heads are set up to use a .481 cam lobe and a 1.85 rocker arm ratio. Kind of have to do that to make the power.

I found some spring cups that were real thin, got to 2.050 on my 528 with 440-1 heads. Can't remember the brand of parts, but most of my stuff is Manley. I believe my Ti retainers are +.100, locks are +.050. The retainers look like they are pulling through! blush
If the valve length and rockers arte the same location as 440-1 heads as cut for Jesel stuff, you might make it. My math says you need at least .020 lash to get there, with a 1.130 coil bind, .060 clearance, and .880 gross lift.

Looks good. Are those the 1.70 Jesel rocker arms that I sold you? I was thinking I sold that set to you but it has been a year or so.

Those are the 1.55 rockers, haven't tried the 1.7s yet. I forgot to mention, those springs are Comp triple 947. I figure if I try the 1.70 rockers, I could use a 948 spring on the intake side. A good used set in at 2.050 ought to be plenty of spring.
