I've been dealing with this issue for several years now. The 440 in my Duster will not hold torque on the oil pan bolts. The pan is a Milodon, two of the black fiber type gaskets, windage tray, and the bolts are ARP stainless. I have to re-tighten the bolts every few weeks or I get leaks. Is there any way to correct this? Should I try loctite, thread sealant, or just get some regular steel bolts? Thanks I got tired of them doing this to went to studs and used the nuts that have the serrations to keep them locked in place
best so far 8.53 @ 158.59 MPH 60'1.240

All of the above but you also need to look at better crank case evacuation. Just a thought. This has been on my mind too. I tried hooking up a PCV last year and it made the car smell terrible, burn your eyes rich.

Is that the only nuts that are coming loose? Maybe you have a unbalanced engine that is causing a little to much vibrations.
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

How about you try a better quality oil pan gasket? Your gasket is soft, therefore will not maintain enough load to keep the bolt torqued. I have Never had to re-torque my oil pan bolts and the gasket been on for 8 years, grade 5 hardware store bolts and plain old flat washers ![wink wink](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/wink.gif)
