My '01 Dodge 2500 is leaking AC refrigerant at the port on the high pressure line. It just has a little black ball under the cap, not a Schrader valve like the low side.

Isn't this replaceable w/o changing the whole line?
Is 5003463aa the right part number for it? Found this doing a google search, but not sure it's correct for my truck.

My 2002 and 95 Both have normal service valves which can be serviced. I have no black ball. Maybe something from the cap is broke off making it look like that.

What you are seeing is a piece of rubber that covers the valve. My 01 is leaking there and Murray makes a kit #26782 and Santech also has one #MT2908. I have done tons of these valves on Rams and Dakota's.

as you can see that valve screws off. you'll have to reclaim the r134 and that whole valve assy is replaced. It was not serviced on the truck, but the Dodge Neon showed a part for it so we just always used that part rather than replacing the line.
