Hey guys, is anyone running a 383/400 with a TKO600 with TTI headers? Need proof that they will fit the bell housing and hydraulic clutch. Called a few places and no one is confident with an answer.

TTI said to go with 400SR-218 (SR Step Headers), but didn't know 100% if it would fit.

I have 440Source Stealth heads also.

Currently have 1 7/8 Schumakers, but can't get a mini starter in it, plus the 1 7/8 is small for the engine build.

This is for a 68 Charger with original K Frame.

Thanks.

1 7/8 headers too small? What are you building a 500 inch stroker? I don't know if they'll fit but I like my Hooker 2" super comps. You might be able to use them if you modify the collector area.

Correct - 500 Stroker. It's pushing about 550 or so.

I'm running 1 7/8" TTI's with TKO 600 and hydraulic clutch (TO bearing type) on a 400 core engine. Fits fine/as advertised on a '70 E. I don't think the hydraulic clutch adds to clearance problems... though the low deck with certain heads did not seem to be recommended or fit with 2" headers at the time I purchased mine thus the 1 7/8".

FWIW I only picked up about 1.5mph in the 1/4 from jumping from the 1 3/4" to 2". If you can find a 1 7/8" header I doubt you'll be leaving much on the table.

Thanks guys. I talked to someone else at TTI today and received better information. FYI, they are 3 weeks delayed on orders currently.
