Was looking at headers to put on my convert, and eventually put new purple zoomie glass packs back on it (like it had most of its life). But there seems to be a big price range out there (I like the doug's headers but they are $600). Maybe you get what you pay for.
Any opinions? I worry about something not fitting, after I get them more than anything, or leaking 1 yr later.
I myself am a fan of the old appliance headers (in white).

I have a set of brand new D453 ceramic coated headers that I don't need anymore. We used a different set of headers on the project and these are left over. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Anything with a 3/8" thick flange. Avoid the thinner stuff.
The Mopar exhaust ports 1, 7, 2 and 8 are sealed up by 2 bolts. One on each side of the port. The middle 2 ports are sealed up by only 2 bolts with nothing in between. A thin flange will often leak in the middle as the flange warps.
You will hear 15 stories about how a couple guys got a cheap header to seal but the fact is thick flanges seal every time.

Dougs are worth it. Very well made, fit and finish is great, thick flanges, and are a couple hundred bucks less than comparable TTI's, give or take. Steering linkage does not go through the tubes and tubes don't hang low, both pluses on top of the thick flanges.

I have TTI's on my 70 340 Cuda and would highly recommend them. No fitment or clearance issues whatsoever. I have had them on the car for 7 years now with no complaints.
They are not cheap but they are quality and you do get what you pay for.
