Other than an aftermarket bellhousing, if you ran an adapter plate to a glide,how is the starter nose cone supported?

It isn't, in fact, some guys cut it off completely. My stock PG case was notched to clear it, no problems in 10 years of racing with it like that.

The TCI adapter kit has the mid plate adapter piece that the starter bolts right to. There is the appropriate spacers and flexplate as well to provide correct engagement.

I have a glide and it bolts to the mid-plate...so does the starter.

+ up Ultrabell and a midplate is a good combo but you will need a spacer under the starter for optimal pinion and ring gear engagement.

We just did this conversion.
This is what I came up with.
Big Block Mopar- 1/4" mid plate; JW bell-housing and case; JW flex plate;
JW crank spacer .250 thick. With the following I had .125/.180 clearance to move convertor to flex plate. No starter shims needed also. Pull dowel pins out of block and get longer ones and taper edges makes for easier install.
I tried 3 different crank spacers had trans in and out 4 times this came out to be the best combo.
Check JW web site for parts and numbers also you check Coan web site for parts too.
Can get all from JEGS with free shipping.
Good Luck

Also we used a Power Master starter #9513 and Neal Chance
2 pc.convertor
