Has anyone heard if anybody is planning on reproducing a grill for the 1971 Challenger? I see lots of other reproductions out there

Thanks

I haven't seen or heard of any complete 71 Challenger grills being reproduced.

They are remaking the headlight buckets in R/T style but the paint needs slightly modified to be correct, I have no idea on the quality.

From the people I have talked to about it that are in the know, they will probably never make one. The people that stepped out and made a plastic grill that was perfect did not get treated well by the manufacturers that produced them and still have not recovered there initial cost. Not enough demand for a 71 Challenger. I bought a couple of spares before the prices went to the moon.

There are a couple NOS ones on ebay, not priced for the squeamish but available.

Seems like there's always a few for sale if you look around but the prices are rising.

Too bad. NOS is too expensive. I will just have to repair the one I have.

Thanks

IMHO the 71 Challenger grille IS the BEST looking/styled from the 70-4 Challenger line up, but it's the Red-Headed Stepchild as far as production numbers, and unfortunately most repro mfg's base their data for product viability off that production volume number, unless they are shown that price/demand far out strip production numbers then you won't likely be seeing a 71 repro grille anytime soon

FYI, Moparts member "Ragtop" has 2 71 challenger grill assys listed in the E body parts for sale section if your interested
