Specifically interested in the chamber. I have some ideas for the big open chamber to eliminate the area by the spark plug that goes down into the chamber where the fuel ignition happens. I don't know if that's a good Idea to do that or not? I know this is done on most other race heads. Any info would be great. Thanks Moparts. By the way I do plan on most likely taking around .120 off heads to try and get it to a closed chamber.

Don't have any pics of mine but I know it's not good to take too much off em. That's why they went with ribs and finally made closed chambered ones in the later gens to stop cracking issues.

Hollis Page at HPEngines.net just did up a set of W2's for my 440" (4.25" Arm by 4.06" bore) tork monster small block.

I used to know how to post pics on moparts...but now....(ooops we lost the "shuggie" emoticon too).

What is the benefit of removing that "hump"? Is it meant to remove any flame travel restrictions?

On a lot of the racing heads the area in the chamber by the spark plug for the fuel ignition is usually all smoothed out. I've heard that in some cases that area should stay there. On this particular heads I'm not sure if it would help it or just hurt it.
