Has anyone had any experience either polishing or cleaning these bezels the ones I have are very nice just want to polish I was told there is some kind of a clear coat on them any help? thanks

Actually it's an annodized coating...You could possibly clean them up with a fine metal polish but you can't get too agressive you'll burn right through the coating...I've had a few that were perfect but the annodize coating got milky and would'nt clean up...I ended up stripping the coating off and polishing them up...Actually shines better than original and the aluminum used on those bezels were a high quality that only needs a small amount of attention each year...

I remember reading an article years ago about a guy who sanded his down with progressively finer grit until he got to the point of buffing and polishing. His started out all gross and pitted up like they all are. By the time they were done and seemingly 100's of hours of labor later they looked amazing!

yeah they can be polished after the annodizing is stripped, but like mentioned they will need attention to maintain their shine without the annodizing. i would think that in the conditions that we now keep our cars that the annodizing would get cloudy as easily as they did when they were left outside daily driver type cars
