A carrier bearing came apart in my 1996 Ram 2500 with a Dana 60 and I have a 1992 Ram 2500 with a Dana 60 laying around for parts. Are there any parts from the 92 that will interchange with the 96? I will need to replace the carrier assembly, ring gear, and pinion. Trying to keep it on the cheap as the 96 is just a beater.

Double check your 1992 model to make sure it is not the near identical Dana 61 used for ratios less than 3.54

The donor 92 was a Cummins diesel truck that was rolled, so I am sure it would only have a 3.54 or 4.10. How can you tell the difference in a 60 and 61?

Only the early Cummins trucks with the 727 had the 61 in it. Check your axle splines though just to be sure.
