I recently bought a 2008 Ram, QC, 100km (60k miles). Considering a programmer, truck is completely stock, looking for advice on which one I should get,Bullydog, SuperChips, Edge, Diablo. What kind of results have people had with theirs?

only available for the 06 and newer trucks is EFI Live. it comes with a 5 position selector switch, allows you to "shift on the fly" from one tune to another. on the Cummins forum, guys recently posted that they are putting down nearly 500 hp to the wheels with EFI live on an otherwise stock truck.

Nice thing about EFI live, is you can run on a "hot street/race tune" when unloaded for max power and a fast truck, but then when loaded down, if your EGTs get too hot, flip the switch and instantly go to a "tow tune" and keep your truck safe.

If you go with smarty, then you have to pull over and stop, turn the truck off, and take a few minutes to go through your tune upload process to change from your "hot street tune" to your "towing tune"

Before getting any tunes, do you have boost, EGT, and Trans temp gauges? you'll need those to ensure you keep everything in the safe zone when you start playing with the computer programming.

Opps, I should have specified that my truck is a 1500 with a 5.7 hemi and not a CTD... as much as I would love to have a Cummings I currently have the Hemi. Sorry for not being clear in my post.

I don't have one yet, but the Diablo seems to be the most popular with the most tuning functions, plus being able to get custom tuning
