Since they've suspended taking orders on the hellcat I have to wonder if these are vapor ware right now. Can't imagine any motors would be available til they restart taking orders.

Maybe the motor is no longer the delay but something else is?

If that's a bolt in turn key engine, lets say in a 71 Cuda convertible, its not a bad price ! If you have to buy other accessories to make it work, like the computer, flex plate or fly wheel, and wiring harness, I'll pass. A good small block stroker motor making 500 hp can easily cost 8 grand. So if the 6.2 is making 707 hp and it will bolt up to an 833 4 spd trans, I'd seriously have to think about swapping it out.

Would be cool to get that running in an old car. Wonder if it comes with a harness like the other crates or not.

They could drop it in a New short bed and come back out with the SRT LRT or SRT Warlock trucks. That would be cool.....

Main issue is the Hellcats have a complex intercooler set up.

Not sure how much of that stuff is included and what it would cost.

Im guessing the common after market controllers could handle the tune and boost stuff.

The idiots at Fiat vastly underestimated the demand or were they being evil and only worrying about their corp fuel economy avg? Only 9000 planned production and they run out in the first quarter. Black hoods are also unobtanium. What a bunch of idiots. By August it will be 2016 model years.

I think part of the complexity of the intercoolers is the limited space (kind of a funny statement for a big car!). With a less crowded engine bay an aftermarket cooler could probably handle it like you said
