I have a buildsheet that was eaten by mice in several spots and was wondering if you could help me find out what model and year car it was for? It is 80% complete but missing some of the key info at the top. I'm thinking I got it out of a black back seat to a 71 or 72 challenger but not sure.

First off, it is printed on paper that says 3-71 in the top left corner.

Line 1:
Sequence Number is 2/1x0xxx (x is unreadable or missing)
VIN Number is mostly gone, ends in 2x85
USA build

Other information:

EV2 color with EV2 top
v7x pinstripes
e55 340 engine
d21 manual transmission
c16 console
j54 sport hood
n85 tachometer
j21 electric clock
w23 magnum 500 wheels
t63 D78 bsw tires
s13 rally suspension
s25 shocks
s41 rear sway bar.............Could you get this in '72?
s89 steering wheel
s78 full horn ring............Did this even exist on an e body?
b41 and b51 power disc brakes

In the "TIME" box, it says 1534
Line 5 vec label is 07.............No idea what that means.

There is a bit more legible but I don't think it will tell me whether it is from a 71 or a 72. I don't have my camera right now or I'd post a picture. Hopefully someone can help me out?

The form for the '72 model year b'cast sheets are dated 3/71. (I can narrow it down to: between late Dec. '71 - mid-May '72)
What are the codes under ENG / CARB / TRANS on LINE #4?

Line 4:
Engine 680
Carb 22
Trans 757

So this is 100% a 1972 model year sheet. Is there a way to tell what plant it was made at besides the VIN? So the VIN is probably JH23H2Bxx2x85 assuming it is a Hamtramck car.

All E-bodies from the 1971 model year on were made at Hamtramck.

Line 4:
Engine 680 = E-body 340 (same as B-body?)
Carb 22 = 3614122 T-quad 6138S - '72 340 manual
Trans 757 = B & E-body 4-speed

I wasn't thinking when I asked for the above, I thought they'd point to the original body.

P/SHAFT on LINE #4:
142 is 340 Challenger
134 is 340 'Cuda
&
I believe "V7X" at HAMTRAMCK would've been Challenger ONLY

If you can email a scan of it I may be able to narrow down the VIN for you a little but more.
