I'm getting ready to buy a set of Magnum 500's for my 68 Roadrunner. I'm wanting to put 15x10's on the back but I see Year One is selling them with a 5" and a 5.5" backspace. I want the tires up under the fender wells without rubbing. Does anyone have any of these and is the 5.5" still okay with the standard leaf spring location? Thoughts?

If you call up summit, for little or no extra charge they can bring them in for you with a custom backspacing. They don't advertise it on their site but it can be done.

I am running a Magnum 500 15x10 with a 5" backspace on my 70 Charger with no problems. I do have a Dana 60 that is a tad bit off center. My buddy is using Weld 15x10 with a 5.5" backspace on his 69 Coronet with no problems.

Any of the Wheel Vintiques line that they sell can be ordered with custom offsets.

I'd get out the tape measure and know exactly what you need!

In case anyone in the future is thinking about Magnum 500's.
I went with 15x10 with a 5.5 in backspace, special ordered from summit. They had the best price. They fit and look great. All the tire fits under the lip on the quarter with no rubbing and there's 11/16 clearance between the leaf spring and the rubber with 295/50R15's.

Good information to have! I'd like to eventually put some wider wheels on my Bee.

What brand tires did you go with, I may follow your lead on my 68 GTX...I may be needing an ET Street type of compound.
