Took the 440 out of my 65 Coronet and the engine
slid foward and took out my rad(it is junk),so I need to get another rad.Anybody have any recomendations for a 22in rad to fit a RB in a 65
b body? Im looking for max cooling.Aluminum or
copper,does not matter.

You can make a 26" c-body rad fit cheap for max cooling.

If you are looking for cheap, then a 26 inch rad just fits in there side to side, it even cleared the battery tray, on my 65 coronet. Don't know about fan clearence though as I run electric.
Just a stock 26 inch out of a 68 c-body.
I have since replaced it with a dual pass aluminum. Works very well, even with a/c going here in Texas. But again, can't say how it will clear front to back.

If you are looking for same fit, then I have the 22 inch I took out. PM me if you are interested. It is only a 2 core, so you would want to recore to the 3 or 4.

I'm using a 22" radiator with modern 3 core update. My car is a 440 with air, no over-heating problems. I think if you put the 26" radiator in you may have to drill a few holes and relocate your horns.

Doh, that is right. Forgot all about that.
I had to move the horns from inside the engine compartment to infront of the rad support. Couldn't get the second one in, so now I only have one horn. I would have to remove the grill to get my arm in there far enough to do it.

And yes you have to drill out new holes for all 4 mounting points.

Will the rad support opening cover up any of the 26" rad? What are my aluminum rad options? Are there any that are a bolt in for a 65 b body?

It does cover it a bit, but not that much.

I never found one that was a direct bolt in for the 22 inch.
You could order one and have someone weld the brackets to match.
I sort of did that, but with the 26 I put in after the fact.
Went to 4secondsflat or something like that and called the guy. Told him my dimensions and he looked up a rad that would work. When I got the brackets set up right and welded up, I used the same bolt holes I did for the 26 inch.
