Generally $25-$40 on the right coast!......Eastwoods tank membrane/sealer(internally) would be a good idea after cleaning it, I've sealed all my tanks with it, never a problem afterwards,....don't be in a rush, as the sealer takes about 3-5 days to cure fully,.....I've inspected the tanks years later with no peeling, or build up in them,......use the white sealer, as they have/ had several different kind

save some bucks, do it yourself. take it to your local carwash.remove the sending unit, use the high presure wand, blast from both holes. if its crusty/rusty/flaking its shot and needs to be replaced.

I am truckless..

Sounds good!....except when the owner sees ya doing it!......those guys get pissed when you start cleaning car parts!,,,,no matter how "clean" they look .......unless you can find one of the wash/down-spraybooths that has an "engine cleaning" bay?.....haven't seen those in years due to EPA/DEM BS!

If you can't find a shop the Eastwood three step kit works well if you don't mind handling a small amount of acetone and muriatic acid. There are several cleaning steps (strong detergent, acid, acetone). The final step of the process is the white sealer recommended above. You buy the acetone and acid and the kit includes the rest.

I used the Eastwood kit.Did a great job. That was at least 10 years ago and still like new inside.I let mine sit in the hot sun for 2 days to set the sealer. It was pretty bad inside when I started.Rocky

A good Radiator shop can do it, but if ya got the coin, new repops made in Canada can't be beat...
around $200, and way more piece of mind.
