ragtop OP top fuel R Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,620 MA	What brand and type of rear gear oil do you recommend for 8 3/4 rear with clutch type Sure Grip. My rear housing gets pretty hot, and am looking for an oil that might make it run a little cooler. Thanks.

ademon master A Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 6,906 IL, Aurora	I think doc diff recommends 85w/140w conventional with a bottle of ford FM. That said I have Torco RGO 85/140 ready to go in this spring.

I am not sure, but I think around 150 is pretty normal. Doc Diff may chime in with the answer.
