Now that AR is out of the brake business, what is the consensus on brake upgrades? I think I have narrowed it down to either the Cobra kit or the Viper brackets from Dr Diff. They are going on a 70 Satellite that is going to end up a cloned Superbird. This is going to be a low to medium budget build, Suspension plans are reinforced K frame, boxed lower arms, QA1 upper arms, sway bar and Torsion bars up front with QA1 springs and sway bar out back and QA1 shocks all around. And a Firm Feel Stage II steering box with Quick ratio Pitman and Idler arms. Any big reason I should go with one over the other? It seems the Viper kit will be a little cheaper, as I can re-use my drum brake knuckles. Am I missing anything?

That all depends on how much brake you want and which wheels you have in mind.

Price out replacement components and see if that makes a difference to you.
