I have owned 440-1 and 572-13 Indy heads. The Original B-1 will make more power than any Indy Head on a 4.800 bore space..

Give Tom Hemphill a call 724-639-9924 Tell Him Mark sent ya.. He is able to make billet heads. I have watched him make a billet B-1 head and he can alter the port however you want cause hes starting with a solid chunk of Aluminum.. He is in Clarksburg Pa

A PSO head casting is raw and how it is finished is up to the person working with them, so there can be many versions. People that have never seen one, built a engine with them or ran them should not make claims about them. They can be a great upgrade to the M/C casting, port shape, runner size and air flow all need to be considered. We have built many B-1 combos and our PSO head has made more HP to cubic inch than most anything we have tested. The Predator is not the saving grace some think it is, it is a good head and more user friendly than the B-1 stuff.

Pete, are you saying the Predator head, or PSO head, is more user friendly?

I also tried to make some inquieries about the availability of the PSO heads and pricing, but really got no concrete response. So, bought a used set of Brewers and will try that route. They are a little different to the Indys they replace.

Pete, what would need to be done to get a set of Pso? I really don't want to put this back together with what I have right now.

All I got right now. They were sent of for a "tune up" and will be hopefully getting on the dyno this week. This is the original set

Don't send B1 MC heads to Tom Hemphill.
I sent mine there.
After 3 months they came back looking like this.
Car used to run 7.80 @ 170.
Now it has a hard time going quicker than 8sec.
New shop says they stall at .550" lift.

That looks like the typical port I see on most all B1 heads. Way to large a cross section, usually gone through somewhere. Not the way it should be done but typical. Just my

one thing i dont care for on my set,is the intake floor is dead flat and low.not a lot can be done with the short turn radius.its a shame they didnt cast more material in this area.without welding or epoxy you are limited in this area substantially.it stinks because the most gain would be in this area.i suppose thats why the pso came into existence with its much raised intake port....

SFI 25.5 depends,no leak,even at 213 mph....
